(My version of Psalm 23)
The Lord is my lighthouse, I shall not go astray.
He bids me goodbye as I sail the dangerous seas. He kisses my eyes with His light when I cannot see.
He towers the black pool and when I look back, I know I shall find Him -- faith I musn't lack.
And though I roam from dusk 'til dawn, I am comforted knowing He searches for me; for thou art greater than the waters I travel and mightier than the winds that blow my sail.
Thou never refuses me when I am lost: thou keepeth me safe; thy lamp of my heart.
For when I forget that He'll be there waiting; I know when I find Him I'll always be home.
* Original Psalm 23:
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
